Shenton Co., Ltd (Myanmar) Announces New Advisory Board Members
Yangon – Shenton Co., Ltd (Myanmar) today announces a new advisory board that will help guide the education group to discharge its mission of human capital development in Myanmar.
"We are about to enter our 4th year as a holistic education management group in Myanmar and we are ready for a new set of minds and sensibilities to help us serve Myanmar in ways that are congruent with the 2nd decade of our 21st century teaching and learning," said Amos Rao, Senior Vice President of Shenton Co., Ltd (Myanmar), the parent company of Temasek International College.
"The board that we have assembled is truly exemplary in their individual and combined expertise in leveraging technology and industry knowledge to deliver world-class education and educational experiences. We expect the advisory board to help us deliver the same in on-going projects intra-Myanmar."
The new Shenton Co., Ltd advisory board consists of five advisors. They represent a diverse group with experience in governmental institutions, public & private companies, global financial institution and educational organizations:
Mr. Teng Cheong Thye, Chairman, Shenton Co., Ltd. Former senior diplomat of the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1989-95) and former senior fund manager of the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation (1995 – 2012).
Mr. Er Kwong Wah, Independent Director on the Boards of Several Public Companies and former Permanent Secretary of Singapore Ministry of Education (1987-94) and Ministry of Community Development (1994-98). Recipient of the Commandeur dans l’Ordre des Palmes Academiques conferred by the Government of France in 1991.
U Sein Win, Chairman, Top Audit Co., Ltd and Executive Committee Member of Myanmar Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Former Financial Controller of several key Government Departments in Myanmar (1970 – 1997).
Mr. Yee Jenn Jong, CEO, The Learning Grid. Former Member of Singapore’s 12th Parliament (2011 – 2015) and founder of ASKnLearn Pte Ltd (2000- 2009)
Ms. Sharon Ngoi, Chief Curriculum Architect, The Learning Grid, and former Education Director of ASKnLearn Pte Ltd (2000 – 2009)
